Practice repeated trigger presses without racking the slide while receiving visible red laser feedback from your compatible Smith & Wesson® M&P® 9mm or .40 S&W pistol. The complete system includes the Smart magazine, Red Smart SureStrike™ 9mm Laser Cartridge and Barrel Safety Pipe Kit.
SMART LASER COMPATIBILITY: This system works only with the included Smart SureStrike™ Red 9mm Laser Cartridge. It is not compatible with firing pin-activated or other third-party laser cartridges.

.40 S&W pistols: A .40 S&W adapter ring is required for laser use and sold separately.

The Smart DryFireMag® for Smith & Wesson® M&P® Red Laser Training System combines repeated trigger-reset simulation with visible red laser feedback. Practice trigger control, presentation from the holster and other dry-fire drills with your compatible M&P 9mm or .40 S&W pistol—without manually cycling the slide between trigger presses.
When installed and adjusted according to the product instructions, the rechargeable Smart DryFireMag works with the included Smart SureStrike™ Red 9mm Laser Cartridge. No caliber adapter is required in a compatible 9mm pistol. Laser use in a compatible .40 S&W pistol requires the .40 S&W adapter ring, sold separately.
Together, these components provide repeated trigger-reset simulation and a visible red laser signal with each simulated trigger press.
Important: The Smart DryFireMag simulates trigger reset and activates the compatible Smart laser cartridge. It does not cycle the slide, operate the firearm’s action or fire a projectile.
The visible red laser provides immediate feedback on paper, physical and reflective targets. It may also be used with compatible electronic targets and simulators that detect a visible red laser.
Because the laser indication is visible to the shooter, an electronic target or simulator is optional. Three reflective targets are included with the system.
You can expand your training with compatible electronic targets and simulators for features such as hit detection, timed drills and interactive training scenarios.
The visible red laser works immediately with paper, physical and reflective targets, so an electronic target is optional. When you want more structure, pair the system with a compatible LaserPET II or I-MTTS electronic target for reactive and timed drills, or use a Smokeless Range simulator for projected exercises and expandable training content.
A compact standalone electronic target with six interactive programs and visual, audible and numeric feedback. Its shot timer records split and total drill times without requiring a computer, phone, webcam or Wi-Fi connection.
Choose a three-target or five-target package with a wireless controller. Build multi-target exercises with light and sound feedback, timing data, configurable target groups and modes such as steel plate, chase-the-ball, shoot/no-shoot and double tap.
Move into projected training with automatic laser tracking, ten core exercises, supported two-shooter competition and optional expansion content. The Home Simulator requires a compatible PC laptop, projector and projector screen; larger simulator packages are also available.
This is a complete Smart DryFireMag Laser Training System—not a Mag Only product. It includes the rechargeable Smart DryFireMag, proprietary Smart SureStrike™ Red 9mm Laser Cartridge, barrel safety-pipe components, reflective targets and other accessories needed for compatible 9mm laser training. The .40 S&W adapter ring is sold separately.

Follow the included product instructions when selecting and installing the appropriate adapter ring and barrel safety-pipe components.
The included short safety pipe and one black safety-pipe extension accommodate many compatible configurations. Compatible pistols with barrels measuring 5 inches or longer require additional safety-pipe length.
For barrels 5 inches or longer, we recommend using the Long Safety Pipe with the black safety-pipe extension already included with this system. Alternatively, use the included short safety pipe and black extension with one additional black safety-pipe extension.
The Smart DryFireMag ships with a pull weight that closely approximates the firearm’s actual trigger pull weight. Trigger configurations, installed components and individual firearms can vary, so the simulated trigger pull might not feel identical to the live-fire trigger pull of every pistol.
One heavier accessory spring is included. The installed spring provides an approximate 5½-pound simulated pull, while the included heavier spring can increase the simulated pull to approximately 5¾–6 pounds. Actual pull weight can vary based on the individual firearm, scale and pull-test method. The optional Smith & Wesson M&P Spring Kit is sold separately for additional trigger-pull adjustment options.

The Smart DryFireMag contains an internal rechargeable lithium battery and includes a USB-C charging cable. Allow approximately 2.25 hours for a full charge, which can provide up to approximately 50,000 trigger presses or laser pulses. Actual battery life can vary with use and storage conditions.
The Smart SureStrike™ Laser Cartridge uses replaceable, non-rechargeable battery packs designed to provide thousands of laser pulses. Two laser-cartridge battery packs are included. Keep the protective shrink wrap on each battery pack during use, and remove the battery pack from the laser cartridge after every training session to reduce battery drain and extend its storage life.
The orange baseplate helps distinguish the Smart DryFireMag from live-fire magazines during dry-fire practice. The activation lever and all other magazine components are black.

Choose Red for visible feedback: The visible red laser works with paper, physical and reflective targets without requiring an electronic target. It can also be used with compatible electronic targets and simulators.
Choose IR for sight- and optic-focused training: The invisible infrared laser requires a compatible electronic target or simulator. Because you cannot see the laser, you must use your sights or optic instead of watching the laser dot.
