Description

.45 ACP Adapter for Your Smart SureStrike™ Laser Cartridge

Use your existing 9mm Smart SureStrike™ Laser Cartridge in a compatible .45 ACP pistol with the Laser Ammo .45 ACP Caliber Adapter Ring. The ring threads onto the laser cartridge without tools and is used with the required barrel safety pipe and nut.

SAFETY PIPE AND NUT REQUIRED: This adapter ring must be used with the appropriate barrel safety pipe and nut. They are not included with this ring. If you do not already own them, add the correct safety-pipe components before training.

ADAPTER RING ONLY: Laser cartridge, Smart DryFireMag, safety pipe, extension, and safety nut are sold separately.

ALREADY OWN A COMPLETE SYSTEM? The Smart DryFireMag® for GLOCK® 10mm/.45 Auto Red and Infrared Laser Training Systems already include a .45 ACP adapter ring. Order this separate ring as a replacement or spare.

Compatibility & Required Components

For Smart DryFireMag laser training in compatible GLOCK® .45 ACP configurations, including G21, G30, G41, and corresponding MOS configurations. G21SF configurations without the ambidextrous magazine release are compatible; G21SF pistols with the older ambidextrous magazine release are not compatible. Review the model-specific Smart DryFireMag compatibility information before ordering.

CHECK YOUR CALIBER: .45 ACP IS NOT .45 G.A.P.

This adapter ring is for .45 ACP. It is not the .45 G.A.P. adapter ring. Match the adapter to the caliber marked on your firearm and confirm Smart DryFireMag compatibility before ordering.

For Smart DryFireMag laser training, use this ring with a compatible Smart SureStrike™ 9mm Red or Infrared Laser Cartridge, the model-specific Smart DryFireMag, and the required barrel safety-pipe components.

The adapter changes the laser cartridge’s caliber fit; it does not change which pistols your Smart DryFireMag fits. Confirm compatibility for your firearm and complete system before ordering. Standard DryFireMags do not activate Smart SureStrike laser cartridges.

Long-barrel configurations: Compatible barrels 5 inches or longer, including the G41, require additional safety-pipe length. For the GLOCK 10mm/.45 Auto Smart system, use the Long Safety Pipe with the black extension, or the short safety pipe with two black extensions. Follow your model-specific instructions.

Smart SureStrike™ Adapter Ring Installation

BEFORE INSTALLATION: Verify that the firearm is unloaded. Physically and visually inspect the chamber, bore, and magazine well, and remove all live ammunition from the training area. Assemble the laser cartridge and adapter outside the firearm.

USE THE CORRECT BACK CAP: Retain the compatible Smart SureStrike™ 9mm Optic Back Cap for Smart DryFireMag laser activation. A standard firing-pin-activated back cap will not provide Smart DryFireMag laser activation.

Unscrew the 9mm Optic Back Cap from the Smart SureStrike laser module. Remove the battery pack if installed.
Position the .45 ACP adapter ring over the laser module with its threaded end facing the back-cap end. Installing the adapter upside down can damage the threads.
Carefully engage the adapter’s threads and turn it down until seated. Do not force or overtighten the adapter.
Insert the battery pack with its positive (+) end facing the back cap. Leave the protective shrink wrap intact.
Thread the compatible 9mm Optic Back Cap back onto the laser module to secure the adapter ring.
Confirm that the assembly is fully closed with no gap. If the components do not thread together properly, stop and check their orientation.
Install the assembled cartridge and the required barrel safety pipe and nut according to your Smart DryFireMag system instructions. Use the safety-pipe length and extensions appropriate for your barrel.

Disassembly: Remove the cartridge from the firearm according to your Smart DryFireMag system instructions, then reverse the adapter assembly steps above. Remove the laser-cartridge battery pack before storage.
