Build custom ranges, run judgment scenarios, practice competition stages and switch to recreational shooting challenges. The Diamond Smokeless Range® Simulator Combo Package brings together the base Smokeless Range® software and 12 add-ons, with your choice of high-speed camera.
Give your training facility, department, classroom or home practice space more ways to train without live ammunition. Pair the simulator with a compatible Smart DryFireMag® Laser Training System to use your own pistol and make repeated trigger presses without racking the slide between shots.
About the manufacturer videos: These videos are provided by Laser Ammo USA to demonstrate Smokeless Range® software and setup. They may show other laser training devices rather than a Smart DryFireMag® Laser Training System. Compatible Smart DryFireMag® Laser Training Systems work with this simulator and are sold separately. Equipment shown in the videos is not necessarily included; refer to this listing's What's Included section for package contents.
Software versions and package contents can change. The titles listed on this page identify what this Diamond package includes.
The base simulator includes 10 drills for marksmanship practice and recreational challenges. The included camera detects compatible laser shots on the projected display so the software can respond within the selected drill.
Build your own courses with customizable targets, backdrops, placement and target reactions. Review hits, misses, shot times and split times after each course.
Explore shoot/no-shoot decisions with 100 preloaded scenarios and multiple outcomes. Create and upload your own videos, then use after-action replay to review shot placement and responses.
Use the included instructor controller software to guide Video Scenario Trainer Pro sessions. This is a software tool, not a separate physical control console.
Build courses of fire and practice with up to four shooters in four separate lanes at the same time. A training option for departments preparing for qualification courses.
Work through animated shoot/no-shoot targets in simulated environments. Randomized courses add variety to target identification and decision practice.
For an additional look at Laser Ammo USA's competition offerings, watch its Competitor Combo overview. That video presents a separate package; use the software list on this page to confirm what is included with Diamond. As with the other manufacturer videos, the training devices shown may differ from a Smart DryFireMag® Laser Training System.
Practice on 10 IPSC-style courses with multiple stages and competition targets, including moving targets and Texas Stars.
Practice familiar steel-challenge stages and timed courses of fire. Work on stage execution and track your progress between sessions.
Create stages with an editor that includes targets such as Texas Stars and Polish Plate Racks. Share your stages with friends or a range master.
Practice timed draws in a simulator inspired by fast-draw matches. Adjust target size and height to customize the session.
Work on speed and target identification through shooting challenges set in the Wild West.
Add 10 recreational marksmanship drills focused on skills such as target identification and speed.
Practice in a hunting-themed simulation based on European boar hunting, adding a different setting to your laser training.
The package includes the base Smokeless Range® title plus the 12 add-ons described above. Software released separately in the future is not automatically included.
Pair the simulator with a compatible Smart DryFireMag® Laser Training System to practice with your own pistol. The Smart magazine simulates trigger reset, and the Smart SureStrike™ laser cartridge provides the shot signal—so you can make repeated trigger presses without racking the slide between shots. The Smokeless Range® camera detects the laser shots and the selected software provides feedback.
A compatible AR Flash Bolt provides another laser training option for an AR platform.
Compatible laser source required and sold separately. A Standard DryFireMag® or Smart Mag Only does not provide laser feedback on its own. Choose a complete Smart DryFireMag® Laser Training System or another compatible laser training source.
Both Standard Throw and Short Throw camera options work with compatible Red and IR laser training sources, including Smart DryFireMag® Laser Training Systems.
Watch our comparison video to see how visible Red and invisible IR laser feedback differ. Both laser options work with the Standard Throw and Short Throw cameras offered here.
See the laser flash on the target surface. A Smart Red system also gives visible feedback on suitable non-electronic targets when you practice without the simulator.
The camera detects the infrared signal while the laser remains invisible to you. Use your sights or optic to aim, then read the simulator's feedback. IR requires a compatible electronic target or simulator.
The Diamond package includes the 13 software titles described above, your selected high-speed camera and a mini tripod. To complete a projection setup, you will also need the following items, sold separately:
Review requirements for all included software before buying a computer or projector.
Choose this option when your room provides enough distance for the camera to capture the entire projected image. Works with compatible Red and IR training lasers.
Captures the projected image from closer to the screen. Pair it with a suitable short-throw projector to save room in your training space. Works with compatible Red and IR training lasers.
Camera throw describes the distance needed to see the whole image, not the shooter's required distance. Matching camera and projector throw ratios can simplify placement.
Download and install Smokeless Range® and the included add-on software, activate each title with its license credentials, then follow the getting-started guidance to set up and calibrate the camera. Laser Ammo handles software, camera, computer compatibility and activation support.
