Use this rechargeable Smart DryFireMag independently for repeated trigger-reset practice, or pair it with compatible Smart laser and safety-pipe components from an existing system.
MAGAZINE ONLY: No Smart SureStrike laser cartridge or barrel safety-pipe components are included. The magazine works independently for trigger-reset practice or can expand an existing compatible Smart Red or IR system.
No spacer required: The magazine works directly in compatible current 15-round and 17-round RXM grip frames.
Laser use: A compatible Smart SureStrike Red or Infrared 9mm Laser Cartridge and Short Safety Pipe Kit components are required only when adding laser feedback.

The rechargeable Smart DryFireMag® for Ruger® RXM® 9mm pistols can be used independently for repeated trigger-reset practice without manually cycling the slide between presses. It can also expand an existing compatible Smart DryFireMag Laser Training System.
For laser training, pair it with a compatible Smart SureStrike™ Red or Infrared 9mm Laser Cartridge and barrel safety-pipe components from an existing Smart system. The laser cartridge and safety-pipe components are sold separately and are not included with this Mag Only product.
MAGAZINE ONLY: No laser cartridge, barrel safety-pipe components, laser-cartridge batteries, reflective targets or wooden barrel plunger are included. This Smart DryFireMag works independently or can expand an existing compatible Smart DryFireMag Laser Training System.
A laser is not required to use this Smart DryFireMag for trigger-reset practice. Install and adjust the magazine according to the product instructions, then practice repeated trigger presses without cycling the firearm’s action.
Important: When used by itself, the Smart DryFireMag provides trigger-reset simulation but does not provide laser shot-placement feedback.
Customers who already own a compatible 9mm Smart DryFireMag Laser Training System can use its Smart SureStrike Red or Infrared 9mm Laser Cartridge and Short Safety Pipe Kit components with this magazine.
The included Short Safety Pipe Kit supplied with a complete compatible Smart system works with current 4-inch and 4.5-inch RXM barrels. This Mag Only product does not include those components.
The Smart DryFireMag is tuned for the factory Ruger RXM fire-control system and works directly in compatible Subcompact, Compact and Full-Size configurations. Current 15-round and 17-round grip frames do not require a magazine spacer.
Compatibility follows the factory RXM fire-control system across current Ruger-produced configurations and compatible Magpul Enhanced Handgun Grip modules. Compatibility with third-party aftermarket grip modules has not been confirmed.
The Smart DryFireMag ships with a pull weight that closely approximates the firearm’s actual trigger pull weight. Trigger configurations, installed components and individual firearms can vary, so the simulated trigger pull might not feel identical to the live-fire trigger pull of every pistol.
If your pistol uses a custom trigger that resets forward to the cocked position, we recommend removing the Smart DryFireMag’s internal spring. Follow the included adjustment instructions before training. Compatibility with specific aftermarket RXM triggers has not been confirmed.
The Smart DryFireMag contains an internal rechargeable lithium battery and includes a USB-C charging cable. Allow approximately 2.25 hours for a full charge, which can provide up to approximately 50,000 trigger presses. Actual battery life can vary with use and storage conditions.
When pairing this magazine with a compatible Smart SureStrike Laser Cartridge, keep the protective shrink wrap on the laser-cartridge battery pack during use. Remove the battery pack from the laser cartridge after every training session to reduce battery drain and extend its storage life. Laser cartridges and laser-cartridge battery packs are not included with this Mag Only product.
The red baseplate and red lever help distinguish the Smart DryFireMag from live-fire magazines during dry-fire practice. The remainder of the magazine body is black.
