BOUGHT YOUR SMART SYSTEM BEFORE JANUARY 1, 2026? Barrel safety-pipe kits were not included before that date. This kit can add the safety-pipe system to an earlier setup when the Short pipe is appropriate for your barrel. Choose the Compact kit if your configuration requires it.
Short safety pipe length: 2-7/8 inches (2.875 inches).
The Short pipe is intended for compatible barrel lengths from 3-9/16 inches up to, but not including, 4-1/8 inches before adding an extension. Use the included black extension when required by your barrel configuration.
Examples listed for this pipe size include compatible GLOCK® G19 and G48, Walther PDP Compact, Ruger RXM, and SIG SAUER® P320 Compact configurations. Barrel lengths vary within pistol families; confirm your exact configuration rather than selecting a pipe by model name alone.
COMPACT OR LONGER BARREL? A pistol described as “Compact” does not automatically require the Compact Safety Pipe Kit. Select the pipe using the barrel-length guidance and model-specific instructions.
For compatible Smart configurations with barrels 5 inches or longer, additional pipe length is required. Use the Long Safety Pipe with a black extension, or the Short safety pipe with two black extensions, as directed by your system instructions. The extra Long pipe or second extension is sold separately.
Use with a compatible Smart SureStrike™ 9mm Red or Infrared Laser Cartridge and the Smart DryFireMag model designed for your pistol. The kit secures the laser cartridge; it does not change the firearm compatibility of your magazine or laser.
Other calibers: Compatible .40 S&W, .357 SIG, 10mm, .45 ACP, and .45 G.A.P. laser configurations also require the correct caliber adapter ring. This safety-pipe kit does not include a caliber adapter. If you need both, choose the appropriate caliber adapter kit and review its compatibility requirements.
Not included: Smart DryFireMag, laser cartridge, caliber adapter ring, or Long Safety Pipe. Standard DryFireMags do not activate Smart SureStrike laser cartridges.
SAFETY FIRST: Verify that the firearm is unloaded. Physically and visually inspect the chamber, bore, and magazine well, and remove live ammunition from the training area. Follow the Safety Pipe Instructions before installing or removing components.
