Use the Long Safety Pipe when your compatible Smart DryFireMag® laser configuration requires a longer pipe. This 3-7/8-inch pipe works with the appropriate safety nut and, when required, a black safety-pipe extension to secure your compatible Smart SureStrike™ 9mm Red or Infrared Laser Cartridge.
LONG PIPE ONLY: This product includes one Long Safety Pipe. The safety nut, black extension, laser cartridge, Smart DryFireMag, and caliber adapter rings are sold separately.
CHECK YOUR EXISTING COMPONENTS: Current Smart DryFireMag Laser Training Systems include a Short or Compact Safety Pipe Kit according to the model. This Long pipe is a separate option for configurations that require it; reuse your compatible nut and extension as directed.
The Long pipe is recommended for compatible configurations such as the GLOCK® G17 and G21. Confirm the barrel and model-specific Smart DryFireMag requirements before ordering; this pipe is not a universal fit for every handgun.
BARRELS 5 INCHES OR LONGER: Use the Long Safety Pipe with a black safety-pipe extension when directed by your compatible Smart system’s instructions. The Long pipe alone does not provide the additional reach required for those configurations.
An alternative specified for applicable systems is the Short safety pipe with two black extensions. Choose the arrangement listed for your firearm and system.
For applicable GLOCK Smart configurations, the Long pipe can be used without an extension with barrels up to approximately 4.8 inches. Pipe selection also depends on the specific firearm and cartridge assembly, so barrel length alone does not establish compatibility.

Smart DryFireMag Laser Training Systems purchased before January 1, 2026 did not include a barrel safety-pipe kit. If you have an earlier system and no safety-pipe components, this Long pipe alone is not a complete setup. You also need the compatible safety nut and any required extension. Review the Short or Compact Safety Pipe Kits below, then select the pipe arrangement required for your barrel.
For use with a compatible Smart SureStrike™ 9mm Red or Infrared Laser Cartridge, the appropriate safety nut, and the Smart DryFireMag model designed for your pistol. Add the black extension when required by the system instructions.
Compatible non-9mm configurations also require the correct caliber adapter ring. This pipe does not change the firearm compatibility of your magazine or laser. Standard DryFireMags do not activate Smart SureStrike laser cartridges.
SAFETY FIRST: Verify that the firearm is unloaded. Physically and visually inspect the chamber, bore, and magazine well, and remove live ammunition from the training area. Safety-pipe components do not replace these checks.
