The black Safety Pipe Extension adds one inch to a compatible safety pipe. Use it as a replacement, keep a spare, or add another extension when your model-specific Smart DryFireMag® instructions require additional pipe length.
ONE EXTENSION ONLY: This product includes one black plastic safety-pipe extension. The safety pipe, nut, laser cartridge, and Smart DryFireMag are sold separately.
CHECK WHAT YOU ALREADY OWN: Current Short and Compact Safety Pipe Kits and caliber adapter kits include a black extension. Current Smart DryFireMag Laser Training Systems include the appropriate pipe kit. Order this component to replace one or add an extra extension when required.
Select the complete pipe arrangement using the instructions for your exact firearm and Smart DryFireMag system. An extension adds reach; it does not make every pipe fit every barrel.
BARRELS 5 INCHES OR LONGER: For applicable Smart systems, the recommended arrangement is a Long Safety Pipe with one black extension.
The specified alternative is the Short safety pipe with two black extensions. If you already have a Short pipe kit with one extension, this product supplies the second extension for that arrangement.
Do not assume the Short pipe with just one extension fits every 5-inch-or-longer barrel. Confirm the arrangement listed for your configuration before training.
Smart DryFireMag Laser Training Systems purchased before January 1, 2026 did not include a barrel safety-pipe kit. If you do not already have the pipe and nut, this extension alone is not a complete safety-pipe system. Choose the appropriate Short or Compact Safety Pipe Kit, then add any further components your barrel requires.
For use with compatible Smart SureStrike™ barrel safety-pipe components. The extension is made from plastic and threads onto the compatible safety pipe without tools.
You also need the appropriate safety pipe and nut, compatible Smart SureStrike laser cartridge, and model-specific Smart DryFireMag. Compatible non-9mm configurations require the correct caliber adapter ring. All semi-auto pistol caliber-adapter rings require a safety pipe and nut.
This component changes pipe length, not firearm compatibility. Standard DryFireMags do not activate Smart SureStrike laser cartridges.
SAFETY FIRST: Verify that the firearm is unloaded. Physically and visually inspect the chamber, bore, and magazine well, and remove live ammunition from the training area. Follow the Safety Pipe Instructions before installing or removing components.
